FRANK DUX FELLOWSHIP

"The Ultimate Stamp of Excellence In Martial Arts"

Esteemed members of the International Martial Art and Sports Community (i.e. NTSA, USA Martial Art Hall of Fame, California Youth Karate Association, KidSport America, etc.) sponsor The Frank Dux Fellowship Award. The recipient selection criteria is judged and based upon an individual's self sacrifices made in helping others and/or overcoming adversity by which to inspire and lead others in service to their country, industry, sport and community, as achieved by Living Legend Frank Dux. The USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame (est. 1976) warrants this award is "The Ultimate Stamp of Excellence in the Martial Arts."

Welcome To F.D.F.

“Like most of my peers, I always worked very hard for everything I believed possible. Sometimes, even when it appeared improbable. Just like my personal dream of becoming a martial art champion, at a time when I was too poor to afford lessons and had to settle for my studying the martial arts on the cement sidewalk outside of schools, looking in. The kindness of others made my training and journey from boyhood into manhood possible. Sadly, several of these good people who deserve to be acknowledged went unrecognized, leaving this world before I had the opportunity to honor them. I believe we all know someone, like that.

I feel overwhelmed and undeserving that you should name this fellowship award in my name because while, yes, I have many celebrated acccomplishments, I do not consider myself exceptional because as martial artists we all discipline our minds, body and spirit in a manner that lets our actions and skills speak for us, instead of our tongue… But undeniably, there is something to be said that words cannot describe after you realize you are being honored and recognized by your peers, whose respect you value and cherish.

Given my own personal oversights, my own mistakes of the past I gladly lend my name and reputation in the acknowledgment of others - students, parents and instructors, who might otherwise go unnoticed… I can’t think of any better way to honor those good hearted people whose bravery, tenacity, contributions and sacridice in need of being recognized and appreciated bethrough our inviting them to join and take part in a fellowship of like minded people… where entrance into this exclusive club is based on demonstrating leadership, integrity, personal sacrifice in the betterment of all - the unseen root and underlying theme of all martial arts Bruce Lee, spoke of. It is what defines us as warriors from the mindless barbarians.

Let our fellowship stand as a living example of refinement, discipline of mind, body and spirit that promotes harmony for all, being a beacon in the darkness. This is why very few can lay claim to it no matter how talented they may be as fighters or what high ranks and titles they hold as martial artists. Even being a Hall of Fame inductee is not enough by itself to qualify.

It is my honor to officially invite you to be part of a movement, a circle of iron that has always existed, committed topromoting and honoring the root of all martial arts, the perfection of ones character.
